Our translation service

Translations serve different purposes and need varying degrees of attention. Choose the right service standard to get the optimum balance of speed and cost to meet each need.

Reference standard
Most suitable for internal use, reference standard documents are translated and proofed by mother tongue legal specialists and tested for accuracy.

Publication standard
Any text prepared for publication to a wider audience needs an additional editorial proof by a second language and subject specialist to ensure the highest standards of construction as well as accuracy. The finished piece should be as crisp and flow as well as the original.

The team

As well as managing our in-house translators, editorial teams in London and New York co-ordinate the work of more than 650 translators worldwide.

Our recruitment is rigorous. As well as language skills, our translators also demonstrate a sound practical understanding of their native legal systems.

We also call on a range of industry specific advisors to make quite sure that any technical jargon and ‘terms of art’ are fully understood and translated accurately.

Insight into Translation - SOAS Career Event

Temple Translations was delighted to assist SOAS in their recent career event by giving a talk to aspiring translators on the role of an in-house translator. Imogen Hancock, one of our in-house translators, presented an Insight into Translation giving an overview of the legal translation industry, and paths into careers within translation with particular focus on the role of an in-house translator from trainee through to staff translator.
